CHARiot is a totally live system using secure VPN communications over broadband services. All transactions in stores are reported to Head Office within minutes, all management inputs and changes (example, price changes / stock transfers ), at Head Office are distributed to stores in similar timescales.
The store's local data backup routine is simple to operate and robust, the Head Office scheme is expected to be covered by the existing IT strategy for the business.
If Broadband links to stores should temporarily fail, all tills will continue to operate whilst buffering data until the link is restored and all information can be transmitted to Head Office. During the time that the link is down the Head Office will continue to operate as normal, as all of your retail information is retained on-site in your system CHARiot is able to continue to provide your routine detail reports on all store information.
